So the marathon has ended.
Thanks for all your support guys, if you popped in, did a long stint or donated it is incredibly appreciated, we've raised over £650 over the course of the event and that is fairly mental. And the best thing is, this IS ONLY THE START.
What we hope to do in the future is going to be amazing, namely the quake tournament, and we're putting together our thoughts for a Halloween Horror Stream, a marathon consisting of pure Horror games in a scary as crap environment, for charity too!
In either case, hope everyone had fun and is enjoying sleep.
A huge thank you to Dan at the Games Lounge for being probably the most hospitable bloke for sweaty nerds, providing the perfect gaming atmosphere and for letting us PC gamers take over. I'm hoping that all the things we do for charity will only propel Dan and Bens vision of the ultimate gaming atmosphere into a reality.
Another huge thank you to Darren who has provided a crap tonne of equipment and has been the 'tech' behind the scenes for the complete 24 hours. Mental hard work from him and if wasn't for him I don't think we couldn't have done with out him.
Thirdly, thank you so much for you guys who have come down, played some games, hung out, had a beer and got involved. The amount of people who dropped in literally destroyed every expectation we had, and that is awesome as hell.
Lastly, thank you to the donators, to raise such a huge amount of money in an event that we were expecting to raise £100 tops, and be chuffed with it, here we are with over £650 for the chosen charities. It's crazy, the feedback we have had over this whole event has been so great. THANK YOU.
If you enjoyed the event and want to get involved, please do so. Spread the word, tell your friends, give us input. This is the basis of a huge gaming community in Guernsey and the more people involved the BETTER.
That's me done, overwhelmed!
