It's a tough call, depends on mood and stuff, but the game that has stood with me for the longest and had the most impact on me is actually a little mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 called Carball. If you picture a mix between Twisted Metal, Mario Kart and FIFA, you're pretty close. Basically a multiplayer football-esque sports game with everyone controlling a car, with power-ups, weapons and a huge freedom of movement in the air and on the ground. Basically it means that, since there's so much freedom and no "moves" exist, it's got the feel and same necessary skills of an actual sport (aim and use your movement/momentum/powerups in an inventive way to interact properly with the ball's physics while it's in motion) rather than the "Press X to shoot when you're automatically controlling the ball" mechanics of most sports games. Oops, I've just gone on a long-winded Carball-bumming session. I have been playing it for 10 years though so I do tend to get carried away

I'm a bit of an competitive arcade game lover, so stuff like Golden Axe, Street Fighter and Sega Rally I can play again and again, whether it's in short 15 minute doses, or 10 hour sessions.
More recent stuff includes Halo, Battlefield, and Titanfall - anything fairly high octane that doesn't require too much in the way of time investment, really.

A lot of good stuff there.
I actually really liked Black Flag too. Thought that was decent and was stretched out well.
