Game Being Played: Quake Live Quake Live is free to play and download.
Tournament Details: The tournament will be held in a Double Elimination fashion, consisting of a best of three in each round. Each map selection will be at random. If you win your best of three, you move on into the next bracket. If you lose your game, you go into the losers bracket and play against the loser from the main bracket. The first rounds matchmaking will be drawn at random. Click here for an understanding of the way it works. Tournament Link
The tournament will also be held on that website for keeping things nice and simple.
When: Unsure yet, but it won't be for a little while, basically as soon as we know numbers are right!
Where: Depends on numbers, but hopefully it will be once again in the Games Lounge (with better internet!)
Hardware Setup: There will be a pair of computers for the competitors, and another stream computer. To keep it nice and fair, we will be asking that all entrants bring their own keyboard and mouse, as so everyone feels comfortable playing with your own peripherals. The two competitor computers will easily be strong enough to run Quake Live easily. (QL would run on a potato anyway I think). It's a lot easier as you can just turn up and play too.
Prize Details:
First Place Prize £50
Second Place Prize £25
Third Place Prize £10
Current Entered Players:
Landsi
Juganawt
Stikx
Nunyaxs
JKmoogle
Goodolescruffy
KoLdDoOm
On Standby
Dazzar
Gameslounge (Dan)
The entire event will be streamed in spectator mode with commentary on the Guernsey Gaming For Good twitch.tv stream and if this gets enough attention will be held over a day at a venue yet to be decided (probably the Games Lounge).
So what's the point of this event I hear you ask?
The main idea of this event is purely to PROMOTE GG4G. The more people we have involved and talking about us the better, so this event is open to anyone and accessible enough that anyone can take part. We will probably holding a few of these in increasing size until our next marathon type event (which could be a Halloween Horror fest) just to get the ranks up, have some fun and meet new gamers!

Other details
- Once again, our man Dazzar will be teching, running streams and providing the wicked audio/video/stream set up we had for the Marathon.
- The event is open to anyone.
- The prizes are open to change, not decrease, but only increase!
- Ideally it would be nice to have a fairly divisible amount of entrants, but it is not restricted to an amount. The more the merrier!
